Congenital malformations represent the bulk of the caseload in paediatric colorectal surgery in East Africa and there is a need for continuous collaboration among paediatric surgeons to improve upon the management of complex colorectal problems.
Surgical Care
At our paediatric surgical missions, we work with charity organisations and volunteer medical team to offer a wide range of care for children born with Hirschsprung's disease, imperforate anus and associated conditions. We also offer training to our local surgeons and nurses to have the knowledge, skills and support they need to treat a variety of specific colorectal procedures.
Ostomy Supplies
There are many people living with a stoma in East Africa that do not have the resources to get the supplies they need. We meet the needs of these Ostomates by providing them with donated stoma supplies and the necessities for living. We also psychological support for patients and families struggling with a new diagnosis or any issues related to living with a stoma..
